Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry refers to procedures that aim to restore the health and function of teeth affected by decay, trauma, wear, or discoloration. Treatment options may include fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays, and onlays, depending on the clinical condition of each patient.

These procedures are selected following professional assessment and are intended to support oral function and structural integrity.

White Filling

White filling is the application of a tooth-coloured adhesive composite resin to repair small to moderate tooth decay/tooth wear. Unlike veneers or dental inlay/onlay, which are customised and manufactured in a laboratory, white filing can be done in a single visit.

When to use it?

Most often, adhesive white filling is used for cosmetic purposes to improve the appearance of a discolored or chipped tooth or close spaces between teeth. It also can be used to fill cavities caused by tooth decay.

Key information

  • White filling / Composite resin restoration is among the easiest and least expensive of cosmetic dental procedures.
  • The composite resin can be shaped and polished to match the surrounding teeth.
  • White filling / Composite resin restoration usually lasts several years before it needs to be repaired or replaced.
